A new thematic group is being proposed within the International Sociological Association (ISA) on the Sociology of Events.
This initiative aims to bring together researchers exploring events as key sites of rupture, transformation, and meaning-making—from political uprisings and pandemics to festivals and disasters. The group will foster international collaboration, support early-career scholars, and organise sessions at ISA Forums and Congresses.
